Hello. I’m trying to power up / home an Integrex 100 that’s been sitting a few months. After the system boots, the following alarm appears:
“22 Feedback System Malfunction (5,0,&0025)”
According to the manual for Alarm 22 ( , , 25): CauseThis alarm implies decreases in the voltage of the backup battery for the absolute position data detection circuit of the control card.
ActionRe-homing is required since the absolute position data may have been lost. Replace the battery.
Although, the machine is dead in the water with this alarm displaying. It will not home, it will not move/jog, it will not clear.
Any suggestions on next steps to take? (besides replacing a possibly dead battery) Thanks in advance!
I have an integrex 200sy that has this problem on the x axis. The encoder on the servo motor has a little bit of moisture inside it, so when the machine starts up the disk is fogged up and it can't tell whats happening. If you watch the screen, the numbers for the axis that is making trouble change and the motor is not moving. If I turn the ball screw with it Estopped and powered on it will clear up. Make sure that you don't go inside the machine with the power on. Mine will get a new encoder soon. It could be a bad encoder, bad drive, or bad encoder wire but I have seen two that had moisture.
