We got a used HCN-6000 late last year that came with the Fusion 640M controller. We bought a Renishaw OMP40-2, should of got the OMP60, tool probe and are trying to calibrate it. We are using a 6mm diameter Renishaw stylus. We followed the example of calibrating the probe on the Mazatrol side using the Mazatrol programming manual. (shown below "capture.jpg") Everytime we run the program the probe goes to the center of the 1.000" Reference hole, goes in 0.300" deep and then rapids over even after hitting the side and crashes, so for we have lost two styli. It does trigger, but it's almost like the machine does detect that it triggered right away. I attached a picture of our program. If anyone could help maybe see something simple we're missing that would be great. Or if there is a parameter we're missing.
Come to find out there were two issues.
(Hopefully this helps someone else out)
1. The skip speed (k) was too high for the diameter ring gauge we were using.
2. Also, there was a broken wire somewhere between the receiver and the controller.
