    Question Heidenhain TNC310

    Hello everyone
At work recently brought a Lagun mill with a Heidenhain TNC310 controller. It is our 1st CNC so we are learn as we go. We are able to move the X,Y and Z in manual mode but we cant turn the spindle on Does there need to be tool in the collett for this to work or is there a command that we are missing.
Also is the datum stored when you turn the machine off. What is the easiest way to keep the datum in a certain place. We have read the manual but this doesn't seem to hold.

    Any help would be appreciated

    Thanks you

    Gareth

There is a button that looks a circle with arrows pointing off it.Think its next to the coolant button.Press that first and then try to start the spindle and see if the spindle starts. Also does the machine have auto tool changer?

Anyway U should first input spindle speed data. In manual there is S softkey after presing it U can set the speed and confirm it with cycle start, NOT ENTER.
Also in MDI u can write toolcall withn no values beside S parameter (which sest spindle speed) and in next line M3/M4.
Tool is no needed to turn on the spindle.
