Default Mazatrol with Mitsubishi drive and 61Y/35Y over regeneration alarm and estop.

Got a mazak with Mitsubishi drives that when powered up after the night or weekend throws a 61Y over regeneration alarm and then a 35Y over regeneration alarm which throws it into estop. After multiple main power ons/offs and time (usually an hour or two), the alarm clears and is good to go for awhile. Anyone seen this or have a solution? Your help is greatly appreciated, thank you in advance.

How hard did you make your machine work? Did you go borderline max capacity? If you weren't trying to push anything, you might have to replace the corresponding drive or power unit that caused the alarm, since this type of problem would only get worse with time.
Over regeneration means overheating of the regenerative resistor that you'll find in your unit. Check in your alarm book which drive does 35 and 61 correspond to.

Thanks botha.y. This machine was never pushed very hard. It is a tool room machine only, so, probably only used 20% of it's available capacity. It's definitely the Y axis drive, and, it happens on start up only (Even if the main is not turned off but the machine control is). So, heat can't possbily be the answer, however, I have see some advice/documentation that it could be a voltage or current sag at startup. I have replaced drives years ago on this machine, but, installed Psytronic power conditioners and surge protectors and have not had a problem since. Any other thoughts? I will be checking voltage the next time the machine goes down and is not being utilized.
