Question POST PROCESSOR FOR PLASMA CUTTER ON MASTERCAM

    HI!

I'M NOT VERY GOOD IN EDITING OF POST PROCESSOR, SO I SEARCH A POST PROCESSOR THAT I CAN USE WITH MY HOME MADE PLASMA CUTTER,
THE MACHINE IS NOT FINISH OF BUILDING BUT I WANT TO FIND THE POST PROCESSOR BEFORE MY FIRST RUN...
IN PLASMA CUTTER, EACH TIME YOU START THE TORCH, THE MACHINE SHOULD "DWELL" TO LET THE PLASMA ARC CUT TROUGH THE SHEET, SO IT's POSSIBLE TO POST IT WITHOUT MANUALLY PROGRAM THE DWELL IN THE G-CODE???

Yes, of course it's possible. What code makes it dwell?

THE DWELL CODE IS G04 P (TIME)
BUT I WANT IT TO DWELL EACH TIME IT HAVE A NEGATIVE MOVEMENT ON THE Z AXES

    EX:
    G00 Z0.25
G01 Z0.03 (POSITION OF THE TORCH FOR CUTTING)
G04 P5 (TIME THE TORCH TAKE TO GET TROUGH THE PLATE)
    G01 X.. Y,, (SHAPE OF PART ETC.)

Should be able to do this, I'm thinking of a way to do it, does the dwell time need to change due to the thickness it's going through?
If you post your .pst I'll try and have a go. Pm me if you don't want it public.

Ok done it, how do you want the p value to be controlled.
At the moment I've done it by the z value. Eg if it's z 5. It will be p5. I've put in a factoring value so if it's factored at 0.5 _ z at 5 would give p at 2.5

I'm guessing z values are always positive and you are cutting through to the bottom of the plate. Z0
    Can you confirm?

    https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2E...it?usp=sharing

This is a link to the new .PST file with the dwell added.
Misc real 1 is a factoring value. defaults to 1 second per mm.

Hope this is what you required.
