    Birchwood Casey - Coatings for Aluminum

    I've wondered about the black oxide for years now just not real sure about dropping the dollars to try it out. Anyone use them for aluminum?

    You mean "Aluma-black"? I've used that and it worked okay. But that's the brush-on formulation. They've also got vat formulas, and something new called "Lumiclad" that's supposed to be more like an anodized coating: https://www.birchwoodtechnologies.com/News/7584.html
