Just curious why you use line numbers. I've been programming and machining for nearly 20 years without ever using them. I might add one here and there with a direct purpose relating to program execution, but otherwise not a one.

Do you typically have conversations with others about your programs, where having a line number to direct attention to a certain block would aid in that conversation? That's about the only reason I can think of for using them. They do eat up tons of memory, which for machines hurting along those lines it can become a big deal.

Anyway... enlighten me please if you care to bother. I just don't see it.
