Default How would you make this?

I'm barely even hobby level when it comes to CNC machining, and I do have a PM25 mill that's converted to CNC. I still have trouble determining what the best way to make parts is, and as an example, the attachment shows a pretty basic extension tube. If you had a choice of tools, would something like this be made on a lathe, or mill? I'm not looking for G code or anything that detailed, simply a very general "what process would you use" type of answer.

    Thanks,
    Rusty

Being only a 125mm long it could be done on a mill, but something like this is normally done on a lathe

What's the 9mm is that a hole from the external threaded end

It's not my drawing, and clearly only a quick sketch. This is essentially an extension tube that adds 100mm to the existing tube. 9mm looks like the ID of the hole through the tube. That sounds about right, but I haven't measured it.

    Thanks for the comments.

As Mactec54 says, it could be done on a mill, but I would do it on a lathe.

Thanks. I guess I was assuming a lathe was the tool of choice, particularly since I don't have one :-) I might try it on the mill when I get time, and it can be almost any metal, so I can pick something that's easy to cut. If nothing else, it will be interesting, and I got the mill to play with more than actually be useful.

    Cheers,
    Rusty
