Default Mastercam MACHINE DEFINITION for Okuma

I have a LB15 Okuma 1984ish lathe and I use DNC precision software to load programs however it's extremely difficult to do this as a lot of the G codes are not recognized by Okuma
so every time I load a program I have to Omit
    G28
    G54
    G99
I have to tell how to home where in X and Z

I also have to delete G97
    G40
pretty much all the G codes there is that you would normally use on a daily basis

anyway I am told you can get a machine definition so it would generate only the legible codes. can anyone help?

    thank you

its not a definition file you want... but a post.
.... plus... set the correct features in Mastercam to get the correct codes.

Your reseller should have set it all up for you when it was installed & with your training.

PS.. check the settings in Misc. Intergers... this affects the G54, G28/G30 outputs.
G99 requires a post mod.... posssibly you need a couple more mods for correct Okuma code.

You probably need a .MIN file instead of .NC ?

PPS .... there is a Mastercam forum
. search there for more info

It's not the machine that is the issue...
it is your CAD that creates the nc file that is then loaded into the control.
you are probably using a generic Fanuc post, hence the use of strange codes that won't work in an Okuma.
... there are minor differences between the two, but you still need to either modify the Fanuc post or get hold of an Okuma post...

look in the mastercam forum.... someone may have uploaded one... or get one from your reseller.

if it's a pirate copy... sorry can't help you
