    Default Need Help CNC problem

Hi all I have a problem with our cnc router. Chinese make Ruijie 1530 ATC. with dsp controller 0507HEBC. The problem is when we start the machine. Power up the controller gets a message. c driver error press any button to reboot. We cant reboot as the controller is locked so turn the machine off and start again. We cant move any axis or any thing. I would appreciate an help on this matter. Thanks all ps we have no manuals or instruction for this machine.

For future reference, that's a DSP 0501 controller - might make it easier to track down information for it.

Has this machine worked for you before, or is it a new acquisition?

OK, have you taken a look at the state of the wiring on the machine itself yet?

Do you have 4 Axes? Did it work previously? Try re-flashing the firmware.

I was going to suggest disconnecting the fourth axis if its attached before reflashing firmware, Tbh. Finding decent firmware for the 0501 is a bit challenging in my experience.

GarryG - right, a bit harsh of me.

Try power up while holding OK and Cancel to see if it starts in Flash Disk mode.

Also, if you can connect the controller to your PC (assuming it's a USB enabled device) with the machine powered off, see if you can access the controller as a USB memory stick. Not sure if that model can do that. With these you might see if there is a copy of the firmware in internal memory.

Not sure if these apply to that model but it's easy to try.

So you can see the handle from a PC. The following manuals may help a little:

    http://lab.walkingrobot.be/wp-conten...-04-manual.pdf

This is for the A18 but the basic structures are similar:

    https://www.slideshare.net/apexcncte...ler-a18-manual

Disconnect the control cable, connect the handle to the PC via USB. Does the handle start?

Repeat the above holding two buttons down then connect the USB cable and check:

Are there any files on the internal storage? In particular *.NC or *.CNC; if yes, they might have code in them referring to the C axis.

    Delete them and reboot handle.

    Try starting in "Emergency Mode".

    1. Disconnect control cable
    2. Hold down the Yellow (STOP/CANCEL) button
    3. Connect the USB cable to the PC (for power)
    4. Release button
4a. Try using Initial data. AFAIK this will load original machine setup
4b. Last resort, try Format System. I'm _guessing" this will need you to set up machine parameters such as sizes, steps and everything else.

You can try contacting RichAuto via their Facebook page for help too.
