Transfering programs from thumb drive to hass super mini
Our shop recently purchased a 2002 Hass Super Mini mill that had it's disk drive retrofit with a gotek thumb drive reader but I am unable to load programs to the controller. Any suggestions??

make the file name simple, then a dot nc. plug in your usb and go to programs, then type in the file name and the dot nc. Hit F3. should be done. Example would be part.nc. Type the whole thing in. I don't think the usb drives will recognize long names or a lot of numbers, etc. Pretty much a DOS naming convention, I think.

Ok, thanx for the input, but it appears that when they install these replacements for a disk drive that they format the thumb drives uniquely for the retrofit itself and the the last owners didn't send them with the mill and we will have to format them ourselves.
Again thanx for your response.

I haven't had to format my usb drives for this. Some of those readers are different I guess. I know that if you don't use a simple file name, and type it correctly, you're not going to get anything.
