    Default goto zero single axis

Hi all, great forum and very useful for us newbies.
My question is what is the easiest way to send only the the Z axis to its zero position?

Manually you can just enter the gcode to go to Z0, or set up button(s) that will do it without typing it in. You need to do some research on Gcode and read the Mach manual.

If doing it often I'd edit an existing G code in notepad for G0 ZO.
I have one saved for G28 at days end.

Something like this I edited from a previous slot program.

    (3MM SLOTS)
    (T3 D=3. CR=0. - ZMIN=-17. - FLAT END MILL)
    G90 G94 G91.1 G40 G49 G17
    G21
    G90

    (SLOT3)

    G0 Z0.
    M30

This will only move Z to 0. Just load and start.

I made my own homebrewed Mach3 screen with 3 important buttons for each axis:
    - Zero
    - Go to zero
    - Snap (go to the nearest millimeter).
