I solved the problem using the updated NcUsbPod.dll file downloaded from http://www.cdxhctech.com/html/Driver/view_161.html
and following strictly the directions given in that web page.
Thanks,
Pietro
Dear All:
I am a newbie on CNC and I recently bought a 6040Z CNC.
The USB motion control card is an YOOCNC M3-USB-JB4.
The stepper motor cards are YOOCNC335
My problem is that this card is not recognized by the MACH3 software
running on a 32 bit XP-Machine.
I get the following error message:
"Find No XHC NCUSBPOD!"
I suspect that the seller send me a wrong Mach3 plugin file
(NcbUsbPod.dll).
Which is the correct dll file? and the .xml file for Mach3 settings?
Is it normal that the stepper motor cards warm up a lot
even though the motor is not moving?
Any help for the solution of the problems will be appreciated.
Pietro
P.S. I am attaching some pictures of the controller box

Glad you solved the USB card issues, but did it solve the heat problems also? No, it is not normal that the motor driver cards get hot, not even when running. Mine are just a bit over room temperature after one hour run time. One reason I can think of that they may get hot is if you have set the dip switches wrong. Check that the configuration is right for your motors.
The stepper motors can be quite hot, up to about +60 C is normal.

The drivers can get warm, as they are dissipating anywhere from 40-100W or so under load, but the attached heatsinks should take care of that easily.
The 542's in my machine get quite warm, as do the steppers.
cheers, Ian
It's a state of mind!
Now the temperature of the drivers is OK. I could not figure out why now is OK. Thanks for your kind reply.

Now the temperature is OK, but I could not figure out what changed and the reason.
I substituted one of the drivers YOOCNC335.
Search results for: 'yoocnc 335' -omiocnc.com
Very fast shipping.
