Matsuura MC-710V Manuals and info on spindle lubrication?
I have just bought an old Matsuura MC-710V (Ram-Master 1) VMC with a Yasnac 3000G control (7 segment display only) from 1980.
Unfortunately the manuals and schematics are missing and I'm wondering if anyone happens to have scanned copies? I have found manuals for the MC-510V, but at least the spindle, tool changer and the control cabinets are different.
Before I start testing, does anyone have information on spindle lubrication? What kind of oil and is there anything special to consider? Also the procedure for removing air from the hydraulic system is of interest.
I do have the parameters if anyone needs a copy.
Regards,
Matias

The phase rotation should be set to CW at the main breaker - there is a phase reversal check relay in the cabinet that will not allow the machine to be powered on if it is not CW.
Any attempt to bypass the circuit and the power is applied will cause the spindle lubrication pump to run backward and flood the main spindle bearing with lubricating oil.
The spindle lubrication is Mobile Velocite 6, or another VG 10 oil. The lubrication level should be checked/adjusted only when the main breaker is in the "OFF" position and fill to the line on the sight glass on the right hand side of the headstock after waiting a few minutes.
If the machine is equipped with an oil cooler there is a reservoir attached that only holds a few liters.
Too much oil will flood and wash out the grease from the spindle bearing.
