    Default Akira Seiki Manual needed

    Help!

I've aquired a 1999 Akira Seiki Performa V-4C VMC with a Mitsubishi M64 CNC. we are now in the process of getting it up and running. The unit did not come with a manual for the Akira Seiki or the Mitsubishi controller. I called the Akira Seiki USA company, but no luck. Does anyone know how I can obtain manuals?

Any and all help would be appreciated.

I have almost the exact same problem. I just got a 1998 Akira Seiki Performa V-4A with Mitsubishi controls. I just rebuilt the linear guilds and replaced the Y-axis ball screw. I got got someone to make me a photo copy of a similar, but newer model, but it isn't quite the same and is only so helpful.
I would also greatly appreciate help in finding the proper manual.

Manuals for the operation and programming of the Mitsubishi
control can be downloaded for free from Mitsubishi Electric

Mitsubishi Electric Automation Inc. - MEAU Home

Some of the panel operations common to most machines
is covered under what mitsubishi identified as the
    "Operations" or "Instruction" manual.

You would need to figure out which Mits control you have,
but in about 1999 it may be a Meldas 60 series control.

Once you know your control type, then follow the instructions
on the meau download link, and choose CNC controls -> 60 series
    for example.
