Prototrak MX3 DNC 9 to 25 pinout

Hello, I am trying to DNC from 9 pin pc to 25 pin Prototrak MX3. I have tried several combinations. I always seem to get the error about control receiving data too fast. It’s like the XOFF isn’t working. I’m pretty sure it’s the cable. I am using 3 wires. Any help would be appreciated.

I have searched this Forum for info on this subject. I can't find anything. If anyone knows of a thread I missed, please direct me. Thanks in advance.

It could be the handshake, because you say your getting an error which is good. The PC send, through your comm port device, via serial RS232 cable, to the port - so now you need to check parameters to match CNC and software, and then verify the handshake.

Have you tried to send from the CNC to computer?
What serial port hardware are you using, and software?
