Default Threading on CNC Lathe no longer working

    Hello,
I have had a cnc lathe for quite a few months now (About 8). I have a product that I produce and the threading is no longer working on it. I was curious if anyone would be able to lead me in the right direction. Basically it's a G76 threading cycle and it's wiping the threads out now. It just started doing this and we've been running this part for about 6 months now.

Spindle encoder index pulse problem? Or spindle encoder problem in general?

We just had the encoder replaced. What is a pulse problem? I'm very new to this.

The index pulse is a once per revolution pulse from the encoder, normally labeled ''I'' or ''Z''. Depending on how your controller works, it may use this pulse for locating the start point of the threading cycle.

I don't know if a slipping belt would also cause this problem.
