MX1 MAtsurra 760, Tera Term dumping line 1

When I send a program using Tera Term line N00001 is getting dumped. It was garbling some other data in the beginning, but increased the msec/line and that stopped the garble.

Still missing line N00001, rest of progarm fine. baud rate 2400. 50 foot cable...coiled up.

I am using a usb adapter to rs232.

So I thought that was the only problem and I was wrong. It took multiple iterations of the post to get the tool change to work and I was diagnosing the data issue at the same time. It appears to be garbling some data later in the program.

What I am really trying to understand is the parameter settings. I have a thread here that tells me to set parameters one away and the Teraterm tells me another.

If it transfers 99.8% does that mean the parameters are right and it may be cable length or something? Are parameters specific to dnc software too? I'm going to shorten the cable up to 5 feet. I transfer with a laptop, I dont need the length.
