Default Need Help! Multicam 3000 shutdown

A blink count 5 is a mechanical bind, take some WD-40 and spray your z ball screw, run your head up and down, with each move spray the screw with the WD-40. You might have to do this about a dozen times, what you are doing is flushing out the nut and cleaning the screw of all the crud that has settled on the screw. Once you have done this reapply grease your screw and your should be fine.

Do this once a month and you should have no problems, if that doesn't fix the problem you could have a ball screw or bearing issue.

    Hi,
I don't know if this is the correct thread but since this is about Multicam 3000 issue i'm gonna post it here...sorry if this is a mistake..this is my first post..
Okey, here is the problem....i have a communication issue...even if the computer icon light is on on the keypad, i still get a "host not responding" message...and if i did connect and go through the files menu, sometimes the display flutters and then go to another item on the menu...when i make a selection the cursor disappears and then i have to cancel and start all over again....
Another problem is in the middle of an operation, the spindle lifts up, stops moving but the motor is still on...i have observed that when i run a smaller file size this problem does not occur. It seems there is a problem with the file size...if it is beyond a certain size, this problem occurs...how can i remedy this situation? this did not happen before...please help!.....

    Default Motor Fault

    Hi,
I am experiencing similar issues. The error message I receive is Motor Fault 17 XA Blink Count 5 - Tracking shutdown. It gives me this message after it has homed and moves for warmup. If we leave the gantry in the same place after machine is homed it will shut down with a Motor Fault 16 error. Anyone experience this before and have suggestions on how to fix?

    Thanks

If the fault is popping up all over the table, with the power off, push the Y back and forth, are you using excessive force to move the head or is it getting to a certain location on the gantry and binding up, either way you need to pull the Y-axis assy and check for a bind together, by rotating the gear and if you still feel the bind, separate the servo mtr from the gear box and rotate them independently.

Let me know what you find.
I have the same problem, can you help me?
