    Ess Mach3 Version R3.043.062 PLugin a-v10-f1

Hi guys I have been using the ESS for a few years now but I just decided to try the ESS homing function
    and ran into a problem
Homing works as it should under Mach3 Control
But under ESS when it homes a axis it does not back off to reset the switch
I use high quality optical switches

Hi okay I had the same problem and the trick is to set the ports and pins in Mach3 ports and pins
If you read the bottom line on the homing page of ess it says

    E) Only assign values to the three Index settings If you have an index pin or signal (i.e on an angular or rotary axis, not a linear axis)

So leave the index port and pin as 0,0 in the ESS homing page
