Default MPG to CNC Controller Wiring

So I'm trying to get a new MPG to work with Mach3...

I am having trouble with the physical wiring of this MPG:

With this cnc controller: (pdf manual is attached in post)
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/255397389618

Here is how it is showing to connect things, but isnt working...
[wire color from mpg] TO [cnc controller mpg input pin]
    Red TO 5v
    Black TO G
    Yellow TO X
    Yellow/Black TO Y
    Green TO A
    White TO B
    Brown TO Z
    Purple TO A-
    Orange TO X100
    Grey/Black TO X10

I dont see anything to do with E-stop, or the enable button which I expect needs to go to the spindle FWD pin (which I think I have connected to out1 on the controller)
I saw a youtube vid, unfortunately its in another language and subs dont work, but it looks like some connections are different and has several extra wires going to ground.
    I have turned on MPG1 in Mach3 and set Input#1 to port3 pin5
Hoping someone has experience with this and can provide a wire map

    Hi,
that motion board in an RnR board, and sorry to say pretty junky at best. It does not have enough inputs for your pendant.

You'd be better off with a VistaCNC pendant, they plug into the PC by USB and has its own Mach3 plugin, and so operates entirely independently from the RnR board.

    Hi,
the motion board. The board you have is, or might be called BitSensor or any of another number of names but they are all clones of each other.
There are quite a few companies who make them but none of them know how they work. The clever Chinese engineer, or group of them, whom first invented these
things 10 or so years ago have all gone, and with them the knowledge to do anything with them, in particular the software plugin.

I think they have as many as six inputs, and I doubt that will be enough for you pendant.

OK so I got it to work following the YouTube vid!
It runs all 4-axis decently well, especially great for moving general distances to reposition before/after a job, however...
It has trouble registering single pulses and only likes faster movements.

Every time the dial moves a notch, the cnc board led does blink, I don't notice any missed pulses.
but for some reason when I move just a single notch, it wont move... I have to rotate the mpg at a moderate speed for it to create movement.
I did use the mpg calibrate tool in mach3... not sure why it wont move on a single pulse

    something is up with mach3
It's not remembering my settings, everytime I start it up I have to reselect to use the rnr controller despite 'dont ask me again' selected
after changing the settings, I always click save.. and I do click 'save settings' on the config menu dropdown... not sure whats going on
    might reinstall

ok reinstalling fixed the Mach3 problems.

I found another youtube video, he set the MPG calibration to 1 detent (rather than 100 like the other vids) and changed mode to step.
This worked great for getting each pulse to count, just gotta go slow.

What I cant get to work correctly now is the X1/X10/X100 dial.
The X10 and X100 work great, but X1 does not switch to the lowest setting in step mode. (These are set to 1/10/100 in general config).
But then in velocity mode, only the X1 works right... if I use X10 or X100, the motors move like its completely ignoring the proper motor accel/velocity settings in motor tuning and is unbelievably rough... sounds like the gantry is being hit by a hammer instead of smooth movement

    Any ideas?
