    Default Mach3 Slave axis

    Hi Folks,

JDSW51A china 5 axis UsbMach blue board with TB6600 drivers.

I have communication and motion for all axis individually.
    G0 x10 ----------> motor operates
    G0 a10 ----------> motor operates
All other (y, z, a) tested good too.

I've set the 'X' axis slave to be 'A', but I am not getting combine motion when running any of the test gcode (ex. Cross.tap)
Only the X axis motor will move.
Same happens if I try to me 'B' the slave for 'X'.

    Any advise?

    Hi,
cheap Chinese motion control boards are just that....cheap. If you want good....then don't buy cheap.

I use an Ethernet SmoothStepper ($190) by Warp9TD, but many use a UC100 (a genuine UC100, not a Chinese fake from Ebay or Amazon), or a UC300, or a PoKeys 57CNC, which
are all slightly cheaper, if somewhat less capable.

In this manual go to page 31 ish. It does show slaving options in "axis setup". It could be that you have to set slaving in the boards own software plugin first.

    Thanks Craig

Looks like I have some research to do regarding these products.

    Again.
Look at page31 in the manual
You may need to select slave axis in the PLUGIN SOFTWARE first, and THEN turn it on in mach3.

DrufelCNC seems to be the answer.

Drufel will command as a slave
The Mach3 plugins are no good.

    Them .dll files again! ugh.
Which one does yours have?. Is it the usbmach ones?. Which version?.

I've seen people get these boards working (all the blue USB boards seem basically the same, just different layouts). Usbmach v3.22 was mentioned.
My theory is they're only working properly with Win7 32bit or xp.
The more I read, the more it sounds like the dll files haven't been updated since Mach 043 release! And are all just being copied around different suppliers.

Bin it or use drufel for now. 5000 lines limit isn't bad.

    Get an ethernet controller.
If staying Mach just get the ESS.
If you may want to try uccnc at a later date then the UC300eth or UC400eth (both work perfectly with Mach too).

The pokeys57cnc support and user forum base doesn't look very good.

Forget usb boards altogether. There's a reason they starting getting replaced with ethernet boards pretty quickly.

The board came with a burned DVD copy of files in true Aliexpress fashion.
    Came with MACH3 Version R2.63 & MACH3 Version R3.041.
Then it came with following .Dll:
    With R2.63
BL-UsbMach , RnRMotion (for the red board)
    With R3.041
    BL-UsbMach-100-V325

I also found and tried the follow from this forum:
    BL-USBMach3-100-V32
    BL-UsbMach-V22
    UsbMach

Even tried using an old laptop I have with Window 7 (hahaha)

    None of these work.
    Meh, I didn't expect much for $18

The fact it is working with Drufel is kind of awesome.
I'll keep playing around with it, maybe purchase full version.
