Hey there so iv just recently converted my 10”-12” atlas metal lathe to cnc with nema 23 motors, 1605 ball screw with a 3-1 belt conversion , it’s running a cheap USB Mach3 100khz board (which may be my issue) and Mach 3 licensed software on windows 10 laptop, iv designed my file in fusion 360 and everything seems to be working great movement wise but the X-axis starts 9MM away from my work piece… I zero my workpiece in the center how I would on my other cnc lathes but some reason whatever I do change offsets or start a new design it still does it.. All axis are calibrated with a caliber to make sure steps are correct, Z-axis moves like it should and everything homes.. any help would be greatly appreciated and if anyone else has ever ran into this issue with there conversion!

10”-12” atlas lathe
Nema 23 stepper motors
DM542 drivers
1605 ballscrew Z-Axis
3-1 belt conversion on Z-axis
1-1 X-axis
100KHZ mach3 USB board

Can get some photos if that helps any!
