Lower acceleration. Start from there.
hi guys,
I have replaced my breakout board back to a simple parallel one.
Got everything connected and when I'm using the pendant motors are working fine.
However, gcode (both from a file or using the mdi window) does not work.
Instead of moving the axis the motors just squeak but not rotating at all.
I tried to lower the pulse/rev on the driver and respectivly, on the motor setup window, but the result is the same.
Btw, keyboard arrows in the motors setup window works fine.
What am I missing?
Tnx

Make no mistake between my personality and my attitude.
My personality is who I am. My attitude depends on who you are.
Lower the feedrate in the g-code also

I also had that problem. Was able to job around but it would do what yours is doing with MDI.
After some ass scratching, I remembered aboot the keyboard TAB button motion screen Jog %. So I changed it from 50% to 100% and then did the motor tuning, also making sure to press the speed and accel sliders before hitting the save settings button, finished and closed the motor tuning - then hitting save settings in the config menu - Then shutting down and restarting Mach 3.
I got tired of trying over and over with small settings. So I did a big jump down in the speed / accl and worked my way up.
I was never able to tune the motors from inside the motor tuning screen.
Oh Don't forget to lower you jog rate back down
