Default mach 3 each axis is "growing" while jogging or moving.

new problem I have never seen. I set my steps right but EVERY time I jog the axis it moves .12-.25" farther along in x positive. it also does this in y axis in the negative direction and the z axis's both gain in zero.

its an older cmt machine with technic servos and drivers. I am using a break out board with mach 3 and an arduino to control the home switches/limit switches.

the "growth" is always in the same direction but not always the same amount.

I really need to run this machine. Im sure most guys here have been in this position.

What makes you think you set your steps right? How did you go about it?

four steps forward and four steps back should put the machine back at the same position regardless of how far each step is.

but basically I cross multiplied distance and steps. I know there is a button for it in settings but I dont get to cross multiply much in daily cnc operation so I enjoy it when I can.

If the distance back and forth is the same, then you're not losing steps when jogging. I don't know what you cross-multiplied, but if it's not accurate, reduce the steps per unit until it is.

no like the motor is a turn and a half off regardless of steps.

It is losing steps in one direction only.
