    Default Mach 3 y axis

We are using a cnc plasma system. Our computer had crashed. We had a power surge I believe which also took our surge protector with it. Purchased a new computer, installed everything, set up the software, sheet cam, Mach 3, loaded our files. When we went to burn out a part, everything with the y axis had shifted downward. The x axis is spot on. On an 18t x 24w piece, the machine had shifted about an inch downwards. When talking to the company we purchased from, we were told this was a mechanical problem but our table and plate are spot on also. When calibrating, he told us that the x and y axis should be the same. I don't agree. Either way we have replaced components and have some on order but we really are at a loss as to what the problem is.

When you say it had "shifted downward", are you talking about the Y=zero position? Is that set by home switches, or did you set it yourself in relation to the stock piece you typically use? If the home switches are sending you to a new machine zero an inch from where the old one was, look for a flag that's been displaced (that's the thing that sticks out and triggers the switch). If it's a floating zero that's changed, simply jog the head to the place you want it and re-zero the Y axis DRO there.

It seems every vertical cut shifts downward which does affect the zero. All of our settings are set to what they were before
