The hardware is a UC100 and a G540, Mach3 paid version. It worked normally on the parallel port for years. I encountered this when switching to the UC100.
When I click either of the two ( regen or new file) the holding torque to the steppers cuts out and restarts right away. And the reset button has to be clicked.
If I disable the charge pump ( ports and pins, port1, pin16, Active Low is a red X) and disable the charge pump on the gecko 540, there is no problem.
I did notice something funny, in the UC100 I/O mionitor, , the Time field, the running count of numbers stops and shows a number around when the power to the steppers cuts out.
Is this a settings issue, deficiency of the hardware, or a bug in Mach3?
Charge pump cycles when I regen toolpath...
