Default NEWBEE setup question. Mach3 not working

Hello all. Hopefully someone here can help.

I purchase a Chinese CNC 6040 and I am trying to get it up and running. I have installed Mach 3 and configured it. I believe i have everything set up correctly but I am unable to get the machine to move.

    I have downloaded and Loaded Mach3 3.043
    Loaded NuUSBpod
    loaded m930
    Running windows 8

Not sure what i am missing

Even if i load the sample roadrunner g code and try to run a simulation whit the cycle start button it does not do anything.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
    Thanks
    Dan

I hope a Mach 3 expert will be along to help out because I'm not one.I suspect said expert will be interested in knowing what kind of connection you have from your computer to your machine and if it can be jogged manually in any way.If it can't be jogged,it isn't likely to move in response to any Gcode you may be feeding it.

Are you sure the plugin is connected, and working?
Are you sure that plugin works with the latest version of Mach3? Some plugins only work with specific versions of Mach3.

Did you configure the pins, and enable the motors?
What does the M930 macro do?

i believe the m930 is used to control the 4th axis that came with the cnc.

the motors have been configured to the limited instructions which cam with the cnc.

I believe that my computer is electrical connected to the motion control board. I have had the cover off of the control box and the led on the board will go off when i unplug the usb cable. I also get the following "error" in the Mach3 status window when i unplug the cable (--Is The XPod Inserted OK? It has ceased to Respond,...)

the china boys want to remotely access my computer but that is not happening. I dont really have that much trust in them. actually none lol

    Hi,

the china boys want to remotely access my computer but that is not happening. I dont really have that much trust in them. actually none lol
Then why buy a controller off them?

Do yourself a favour and buy a US or European made controller like an Ethernet SmoothStepper or a UC300.
