I don't think so.
Hey guys
Sorry if I missed this in a search; I didn’t find anything here, nor in the supported MCodes or vbscript…
I want to know if I can programmatically enable/disable backlash compensation in Mach3 via some G/MCode. I know the docs suggest you have to restart Mach3 for this to take effect, but this is not the case for my site/implementation. Perhaps toggling it alters position by the backlash amount, etc, but for some applications- where I may require precision in a drill op, but then a smooth external profile where backlash unwinding tends to cause the machine to pause/vibrate a bit (leaving the lovely vertical witness mark), I can live with .001-.002in error carried forward IF that is the last op. It may be closer to no error since that is dynamic vs static friction- so I may really only benefit from it in tiny repositions where vibration and inertia cannot unwind the lash for me. The machine runs double ballnuts etc, and has little inherent lash- just some stiction which I cannot tolerate for some operations.
So, Id like to be able to dynamically enable/disable it via code so I get the benefit when I need it, etc.
Any help is appreciated-
Regards
