I converted an old hermes engraver some time ago and used it exclusively to print simple text using the write wizard in mach 3. I've since gotten used to using solidworks with the HSM cam plug in and tried to run some g code from that on the engraver and what runs fine on my converted bridgeport is scaled up around 10 times on the engraver and then made all the dros read around 10% of what they were supposed to. The write wizard continued to work fine. I went back to motor tuning (engraver has 1.8 deg direct drive steppers with 10tpi screws) and changed what had been 2000 steps per to 50000 to get the scaling right and did the job, which ran at the right size but the dros were reading around 10% of what they were supposed to. Put all the motor settings back to 2000 and reloaded the g code and it was fine. Am I missing something, or maybe I fat fingered some keyboard combo that did something weird? just a glitch?
