If you were using the screen editor, you probably added an element outside of the screen, and the screen is being resized to include that element.
not sure how it happened, I was putting a new script on mach3 for a touch plate and then the screen was all squished to the top of the page and I can not find anyone who had the same problem, or maybe it is common with windows 7 and I am not. Anyway can anyone tell me what I did wrong so I can get on with it. I thought about reinstalling mach3 but thought I would check here first.thanks

no Gerry, that's not the case, all I did was add the script for the touch plate, not sure if I was in screen editor at all, I did however get an error message right after I inserted the script. The directions were to close program after installing script and then when I opened mach3 again the thing was a mess and I cannot find a way to get it back to normal. I was thinking about deleting mach3 and reinstalling but I was hoping there would be a fix first
A screen editor is a standalone program. So, if you weren't using a screen editor, the only thing that can really affect this is auto screen enlarge in general config, or if you loaded a different screenset.

so it must have been just the way my day went yesterday, because when I fired up the PC and mach3 it worked fine... I spent a good part of yesterday just looking for why my screen was squished, I did restart the PC several times too. Very weird but it is windows 7 and I don't think that version was very stable. I finally got the machine running fairly smooth and just messing with the motors a bit like you said, after the units per rev was set to the right place Y axis is moving much quicker. I think for now, because I am a learner that is a good place to be. I really don't think I would be here if it weren't for you and others like you. Thank you Gerry this is a nice place. Now I just need to learn how to use it and I will be all set.Pat
