    Question Jog speed limit

If the jog is operated quickly(More than 7000 U/Min), motor skipping occurs.

Can I limit the Jog's max speed limit?

First off I'd like to check:

Is this a new setup that you have just built?
I reckon you've got something else going on there.
What are your drivers microstep settings set up at?

I see your steps per is at 800. If you have your drivers wrong. It will tend to move at a silly speed.
For 800 per, The driver should be at 4000 (1:20) microsteps for a 5mm pitch ballscrew. Or 3200 (1:16) micro for a 4mm screw.

I ask about this because your velocity available is quite high. If you have kernel speed set at less than 45,000khz it looks abnormal.

    Second.
The setting above is metric. Are your native units set in mm?

I see you've got the driver peramiters in red of 2.8a, 6400. Correct? Yes?
Motors directly connected to screw and no belt reductions, no?
    If so start with:
Steps per unit on a 4mm lead screw should be set at 6400/4 = 1600 (microstepping divided by lead).
Steps per should be at 1600 not 800. At the moment you will be moving 2mm instead of only 1mm.
That in itself causes excessive speed, double in fact.
This should lower the velocity already (but only by half).

I will check my jog tab settings later too and see how mine differs. Could be the pendant causing a lot of it.

If it turns out you say you have belt reduction on the steppers. The reduction needs working out.
I'm quietly confident (hope) it's just a driver to stepper settings issue.

How far does the machine actually move now when asked to move 1mm?

Mistake. It is lead8, not lead4.
    Numerical control is accurate.
Motor skipping occurs when the jog is running fast at x100.
I've tried changing a lot of settings, but it doesn't improve. Sometimes it works well, so I see the cause as a communication problem between the computer and the board.
I don't see any signs of problem solving, so I'm just looking for a way to limit Jog's max speed.

Have you looked at this setting:
    MPG pulse generator.
I read something about changing pulse speed of the mpg itself. Could be worth a look.

    Located in:
    Ports and pins>
    Encoder/MPG's>
Has settings for pin no's / pulse counts / velocity.

    Might be worth a fiddle.

    Solved the problem.
    It was a version issue.

    Thanks for the advice.
