Default Setting offset for Z Probe Block

    Hi,

I am running Mach3 with a ChinaZone USB 6040 machine. It came with a touch probe. I hooked it up and pasted the code into the button, and the probe works fine. But, the code doesn't have the offset for the probe in it. The instructions said to use the Gage Block Height offset to in offsets.

If I hit the Set Z button Under Gage Block Height, nothing at all happens. If I click inside the DRO, nothing happens. If I hit set tool offset under the right hand Gage Block Height, nothing happens. Do I have to create a tool and name it probe in order to put in the offset? I have read the manual and searched the web, but no one seems to be having the same problem I am having. I can't get anything on the offsets page to do anything, except the reset button.

Thank you in advance for any help!

    Scott

Code does not have to have offset in it.
Code could utilize one of DROs .

When you click inside DRO type in the probe thickness and DO NOT FORGET to press Enter

Hey, Thanks! That was part of the problem. The other was the number was grayed out and it could only be changed in the white mode. I am a Mac guy and that was a little odd to me. But, keeping the DRO white and hitting enter fixed it. Thank you again,

    Scott
