Default New computer setup with Mach 3

    Hi everyone,
I had a computer for 10 years and one day it stopped, found another one and install Mach 3. I put all the settings into the software and cannot get any movement out of the router. Using windows 7 32 bit with parallel port and as for as I can tell the same setup as before, when the computer boots up you can here the router making the regular noises that it does but when you start Mach 3 up you don't here that little click like it's connecting. Any ideas would be great, all of the pins, port used is verified, I'm at a lose right now. Thanks for any help

Here are a couple of past threads that might be helpful in getting this running:

If all else fails, you can get a UC100 adapter or a Smoothstepper, which bypass the parallel port.

Thank you, I will let you know what happens
edit: Went through everything I could find on the 2 threads and nothing worked, must be the port issue
