Default Mach 4 Stepper configurarion. Help Please!

Hoping for some help configuring settings in Mach 4 for my steppers. This is my first attempt at this type of system, so bear with me...

Basically, my problem is that I can't get Mach to control the motors.

    Here's what I'm working with:
-Mach 4 Version 3233 (demo mode - will purchase when I know it will actually work)
    -Warp9 ESS V2
    -C10 Break out board
-Keling 600-48 Power Supply (running 110V)
-1 Keling 8060 Driver for my 906 oz motor
-2 Keling 5056 Drivers for my 570 oz motors

Mach definitely IS communicating with the ESS and BOB because the 1 motor I have connected turns constantly as soon as Mach is opened and shuts off when I close out of the program. (the motor also gets super HOT which is a bit concerning!)

I've triple checked all connections (wires) against the diagrams for every component and i believe they're all correct. Ive also read thru the Mach 4 docs and instructions as well as the ESS docs and I'm definitely missing something...

One thing that I can't seem to get any real info on is how to configure the dip switches on the drivers. The factory setting is all on. I have not changed them.

Maybe someone out there has some advice? or who knows...

Thanks for reading. Any and all advice is very much appreciated!
    Bob

Ok, So I got the dip switch information from the manufacturer. Motor not running on its own anymore and not getting crazy hot. Not just need to get them to turn when I want them to...

Could it have anything to do with my PC? Toshiba laptop running windows 10. 64Bit. 8GB Ram...
    Thanks again1

Does the C10 need a Enable signal on the steppers or the drive

Na you're not the first with that set up C10 and ESS. I need the same thing with my MB06V2

Hoping for some more advice.. turns out there's not a ton of info on Mach 4 and it's just different enough that the Mach 3 stuff doesn't quite carry over

Here's what i'm still having trouble with:

~My Home/Limit switches arent' working. I'm using a C10 break out board and have them wired into ports 12,13,15 as the documentation calls for. How do I set this up in Mach 4?

~My E-Stop isn't working either. Again, wired according to the diagram, but doesn't trigger when it's pushed in.

~How do I reverse my X and Z motor direction? simply checking the "Reverse" check box in the motor tab for that specific motor doesn't do anything...

~last (for now), I'm not sure where to wire my Z touch off plate. It's a puck style with 2 wires, one has a alligator clip. It looks like Mach 4 has the function built in, but i'm not sure where to wire it.

    Thanks for all the help!

    Bob,

Did you ever get this straightened out? I am looking at upgrading my Taig CNC with the MACH4/Warp9 ESS/not sure on the BOB/driver yet.

Please advise if you have figured this out.

    Thanks,
    Pete

~How do I reverse my X and Z motor direction?

Most likely swap wires A+ / A- to the stepper / servo.

Ah - didn't notice question was 8 months old. Trust this was resolved by now.
