    Friday, January 13, 2012 from 10:00 to 4:00
Cabin Fever Expo, York Fairgrounds, York, PA
Presented by Ron Ginger with Brian Barker

In this six-hour seminar, held in conjunction with Cabin Fever Expo 2012, we’ll provide an introduction to CNC, coordinate systems, and G-code. Through examples, we’ll show how to design a part using Vectric Cut2D. We’ll then demonstrate setup and fixtures on the mill. Finally, we’ll explain how to run Mach3 and run the LittleMachineShop.com model 3501 (KX1) CNC milling machine to make a part.
At the end of the seminar a drawing will be held with each person registered for the seminar holding one ticket. The grand prize winner will receive the 3501 mill (part number 3501, value $4,295) and a complete Tormach Machine Controller computer system and accessories (part numbers 4088, 4118, and more, $1,043), and the second prize winner gets a Tormach Tooling System CNC Operator's set (part number 2440, $795). Third, fourth, and fifth prize winners receive Mach3 (part number 3652, $175) or Cut2D (part number 4306, $149.95) software. You do not need to be present to win.

The machine will be used on Saturday and Sunday as part of the Mach exhibit. The winner may take the machine on Sunday afternoon. Any shipping expenses from the show must be paid by the winner.

    Default Nice offer!

Will people be able to register Friday, the day of the Seminar? Also is there a registration fee?

The seminar does conflict with the auction. I'm conflicted with that as I take time off just to go to the auction, so I would want to register if something entices me auction wise.

There is a limit on the number of tickets that will be sold, based on the classroom size. But if there are still seats They will be sold right up to start time. The fee is $60, which includes the Cabin Fever admission for the entire weekend.

You could run out to check the auction, and we will be taking breaks during the seminar.
