Default Ballscrew noise because of movement on base.

    VERTICAL SETUP:600mm length

I have a new ball screw and I noticed the balls in the nut are making a noise and I feel its not free flowingbecause of movement from the base it is on.

I have the ball screw securly bolted onto 8mm thick steel which wobbles abit therefore the ballscrew makes noise. LIke a clicking which I feel is not right,

When I hold my hand on the steel and push on it the noise goes away.

What I don't understand is; There is no way the 8mm steel is flexing or bending so why should there be any wip in the screw.

Is such small amounts of viberation can affect the small balls int the nut?
