    Default Hiwin LG20 grease

    Hi,
What grease/lube would you recommend fort LG20's on a vertical Z? I'm in the US and machine wood, MDF so oil dripping would be a big proglem.

    Thank you,
    dan

Anyone? I did find my small Powermatic grease gun that I "think" will fit the Hiwin zerks.

    Thank you,
    dan

Most Hiwin rails are lubed with white lithium grease, initially - but I don't know what they use inside the bearing itself.

    https://www.hiwin.com/pdf/lubricating_instructions.pdf

You can use anything that isn't moly or graphite. They bung up the tiny balls and stuff the bearing.

I wipe down with lithium, but if you are going to use the nipple, lithium is probably not the stuff for a grease gun.

Mobilux is good for woodworking environments - it doesn't allow the dust to migrate too much.

In case it helps anyone in the future, I bought the Mobilux but was still having a lot of trouble feeding the Hiwin's zerks. I bought the clamp-on quick-release connector and now have zero leaks.

Anyone have an idea on how many pumps to give the LG20's? I don't see an overfill port.

    Thank you,
    dan
