    Default Control software/hardware compatibility

    Hi all

I'm trying to figure out what control setup I can use for my CNC router (a fairly old JCUT 1630B with Leadshine MA680H drivers). I'm having trouble with the PC that I'm currently using to control it (32 bit Windows XP with NCStudio) and I'm thinking of upgrading to a better control setup. I will be very grateful for some advice from someone with experience!

    1. Are these Leadshine MA680H drivers compatible with other control software (other than NCStudio)?

    2. If Mach 3 were compatible for example, can I run that on a normal modern PC (probably 64-bit) through the USB port with a USB to serial adapter? (The machine only has a serial port unfortunately)

Please let me know if you need further info!

    Cheers

Any system that will generate a step & direction output would be compatible with those drives. Mach3 would work, and there are other options. You will have to determine computer compatibility.
