Default Four motors on a Leadshine MX3660

I am assembling a 3 axis woodworking CNC router. The Y axis will have two right twist acme leadscrews, each with its own stepper motor turning in the same direction. Can I connect the two Y axis motors to the Y axis driver on an MX3660? I know they make the 4 axis MX4660, but I can get a good deal on the MX3660. Gryphon CNC is doing the same thing, but with one motor turning opposite the other.

Exclamation Re: Four motors on a Leadshine MX3660

    Trideciple,

The short answer is no, it is not recommended and there is a good chance doing so would smoke the offending drive axis power transistors in the process.

    Have a most awesome evening,
