    Default Focus lens

    Dear members ,

My goal is to cut maxim 1.2 stell but 0.8 should be enough for the moment
I own a cnc laser machine at 150 watts reci .

For the moment the machine is equiped with a focus lens 20mm diam 63.5 mm cut lengh and 25 mm diam MO mirrors.

After doing some researches I found out some laser machine same power as mine cutting metal but with different cutting head and lens .

From here I need your help . As I did my researches I found out that for cutting metal is used a 25.4 mm diam 63.5 focal lengh

Please give me some sugestions about what to use .

I do know that I need Oxigen .

    REgards,

    Default Re: Focus lens

It's not the laser tube power that defines your cutting capabilities. It is the focal point energy density...

Usually.. smaller focal point optics are more energy dense.. so I would try to find the smallest focal point lens I could find and go from there...
