    Default Problem - Weird noises and movement

    Hello!
    I'm building CO2 laser cutter/engraver. Yesterday I managed all wires and wanted to check how the axis is moving.
    In video down bellow you can see my problem.
    Weird noises, shaking, no smooth movements at all... Checked all wires, everything is ok.

    What can cause this problem? Something with Voltage?

    Controller RDC6442G-B
    Motor drivers 3DM580
    Motors 57-H350C/sh

    Will appreciate any help! Thank you!

    The motors are stalling because you are trying to spin them too fast. Possible reasons:
    - the motors are too weak;
    - the drives are too weak or improperly configured;
    - the power supply voltage is too low and/or the motor inductance is too high;
    - the mechanical load is too high;
    - you are simply asking for more than your motor/drive can deliver.

    Reduce the speed/acceleration and try again, then figure out what you can do to make the machine faster.

    Thanks for suggestions.

    When motors are turned off, then everything slides pretty easy. So I dont think that motors are weak.

    Power supply data:
    S-350-36
    Dc output 36v 10a

    What happens if wires from psu to drive board is connected incorrectly?
    Like this:
    +V -> GND
    COM -> +Vdc

    This is what happens when I plug in the controller and after that I plug in motors.
    But why it is moving so weird when I try to move it with arrows on panel, I just dont understand.

    Two possible scenarios, depending on how the board and the PSU are made.
    1. Power supply goes in short circuit protection mode or blows a fuse.
    2. Smoke on the water, fire in th sky.

    It's not really weird, it's just trying to move faster than it is capable of. Reduce the speed and see what happens.
