Coolant laser tube?
Hi,
I have Kaitian CO2 laser, 60W tube, and it's at a place which I can't warm every day, and the temperature can go UNDER -10 Celsius degrees (10 F) sometimes. Can I use antifreeze for cars? Do I really need to use destilled water and why? And, one more thing - how much is optimum operating temperature range for coolant?
Greetings!

Re: Coolant laser tube?
I use RV antifreeze. It's a non toxic antifreeze used to replace the water in lines of trailers and houses that have no heat when not used. I circulate this fluid while the container sits in ice water. I'm targeting between 10 and 20 Deg C. I'm using a PC pump with a decent flow. I ales use a radiator that sits in the ice water. Cooling like this is inexpensive but necessary

Re: Coolant laser tube?
Do you use the RV antifreeze only, or mix with water? If mixed what sort of ratio?
Thank you for your time and assistance.
