Default Woe, Amada LC1212A2 with no software

    Hello,

I just picked up a 1998 LC1212A2 without software. Got the machine for hauling it away. I don't have an immediate production need for this machine so I have time to figure out what I want to do with it. I don't want to dive into an installation service nor the AP100 software.

We currently use Sheetcam on our plasma table and Aspire/Vectric for the router table. Our QCAD/CAM and Sheetcam both list Amada gcode post-processors but I do not know if they work with this machine. There's also retrofit with something like Camsoft and non-proprietary interface boards/controllers, a much longer learning curve but one can take more control over the machine..

Anyone got any insight or experience to share, I am very appreciative.
