Default No backlash adjustment screw on feed nut bracket(yoke)

I have a supermax ycm1 1/2 va and somehow the feed needs (2 nut design) came out of the bracket so I removed the table and lead screw to feed the assembly back into it but noticed there were no adjustment screws at all not even a tapped hole for an adjustment screw to go into. The bracket does however have a boss where it looks like the screw would normally go. Is there some other mean of adjusting the backlash on these machines?

You could make a shim stock washer under I of them, then reinstall it.
It will take a bit of fiddling to find the right thicknesses, and will depend if you screw is worn in the centre.

Or just add the slots in the nut yourself, only 1 needs to be done.
If you don't have a rotary table, the slots could be marked out and filed out, as it's only Bronze.

    Hope the pics showed up.
If they did well that’s the exact bracket I believe I have. I don’t think it’s the original.

I’m leaning towards slapping the yoke on a drill press. Scary thought however.

Side note: how do the nuts in the supplied pic work as far as adjustment goes?
