    Default K2 Y axis and X axis Configurations ( backlash )

I’m reworking a K2 router (4’ x 8’, KG9850-8-RO-VT). The machine was reworked before I purchased it. They added new servo motors (easy servo motor) and drives ( leadshine ). While doing this they have modified the rack mounts and drives, introducing a lot of alignment issues. I’m reworking these mechanicals, but would like to see the original drive setups for the x and y axis. Does anyone have any pictures of this setup as delivered originally? Also, what sort of repeatability did this machine yield? It looks like the rack and pinion was hard mounted originally? I’m not a fan of hard mounting and would possibly convert it to spring loaded rack and pinion gear. Both have their pluses and minuses. If anyone has pictures of the original setup and any modifications made too I’d love to see and hear about your experience. Thanks
