There are a number of lower cost consumables that are poor copies of a Genuine Hypertherm consumables. These are illegal , patent infringing parts and are built using incorrect alloys, with poor stack up tolerances and poor thermal bonding between the hafnium emitter and the copper electrode body. The cost less to buy, but create cut quality issues and do not last nearly as long as the genuine Hypertherm consumables. A side effect is often torch failure. So, to get back cutting with your Hypertherm plasma cutter, use only genuine consumable parts sourced Fromm a Hypertherm authorized dealer.
