HyAmp Machine torch and 65A machine
Is there any Pros/cons to using a Hyamp machine torch with a 65A Machine? I've just purchased a PowerMax 65 with a hand torch that I was going to mod it so I could use it on my cnc table, but have been offered a hyamp 125A machine torch (which fits 65,85,105 and 125) for a good price and wondered if I should take it? It uses different consumables, which it a drawback, but if they give me longer life and I don't have to mod my hand torch( which will make Jim Colt happy!) then it might be worth it.
Just wondered if anyone has tried it?

The HyAmp torch will work fine on the 65....a bit better consumable life as it has better cooling. The torch diameter is larger, and be sure to use the Hyamp cut charts. Jim Colt Hypertherm

Thanks Jim, hoping you were watching. I bought the torch so think it will be a better option than running the hand torch on cnc. Unfortunately I'm on a farm with single phase power so I've had to buy a 3phase 22Kw genset as well to run the plasma .Hope it's all going to be worth the cost. Just need to get some consumables for the hyamp now and I'm set to go.
