The Plasma interface is simple.
-To start the plasma arc close a set of contacts on pins 3 and 4 of the CPC port. To stop the plasma, open that set of contacts.
- For verification that the plasma arc is cutting, monitor the output of the arc transferred signal at pins 12 and 14 of the CPC port. When the arc is cutting metal, pins 12 and 14 will be connected (closed), when not cutting metal, pins 12 and 14 will be open.
-If you need to monitor DC analog arc voltage (used for height control feedback) you can monitor this voltage at pins 5 and 6 of the CPC port. The factory default voltage setting is 1/50th of actual arc voltage. There are dip switches that allow you to set a variety of different ratios for this voltage feedback.
All of this information is clearly covered in the Powermax65 Operators manual.

Re: new hypermax 65 (cpc) with fanuc 100ic robot connection guided
I am using powermax 65 spurce with Fanuc 100ic/8l robot
need help for setting
cpc out put data connected to Analog input module(AAD04A)
divider set to 50:1(hypertherm)
on tech pendant weld IO setting (it shows graph AI-weld voltage)AI(min-max)--i set min-0 and max -10V and weld voltage 139v max and 0v minimum is it right ?
or weld voltage max will be 139/50=2.78v max and min-0 ? or max 395v-min 0v..?
please suggest as height controll with AVC in robot can not be optimised.
please refer picture of ipendant.
