I was wondering if there in any other way or quicker way with Hypermill to verify if all you finish tool-paths are cleaning the job properly without leaving any area without being machined.
I use the Internal machine simulation, and every time I need to wait for all the programs to run completely and then I check the machined model, this takes long time and if it is a big job you even struggle to rotate/move the model to see if it has been machined correctly.
any suggestion according this matter will be very appreciated
Hello
The most efficient way I found for this is:
Click generate block in the task list, or the desired cycles (small tolerance <.05mm).
once created, display the block and select your entire workpiece.
you will be able to see roughly where there is material to remove yet. You can select the block and see if the machining has invaded the part as well.
Internal machine simulation is super fast. Are you sliding the simulation speed slider over to the right? Or better yet just clicking the jump to the end button?
I’m new to hypermil, but when working with large parts, I only simulate the last operation and let Hypermill calculate the current stock in the background??
Make a dommy operation at the end of your program, it could be a drilling operation with a toolpath outside the model, and make the machine simulation from that operation.
